Apoorv and Nikita – A Match Made in Heaven
Their wedding story starts like any other. They got introduced through their parents. The wedding had all the makings of a regular arranged marriage. But where the story takes a turn is when the boy spoke to the girl for the first time. He says that he felt an instant connect and knew then and there that she was his Mrs. Right! They soon met for the second time, went for a long stroll by a lake, spoke at length and fell in love! Say Hello to Apoorv and Nikita!
The wedding was a literal Big Fat Indian Wedding that took place at the pristine Rudraksh Resorts in Ujjain early this year. Rudraksh is located on the banks of the Kshipra River and is known for its tranquil setting and lush green environs.
The photography at the wedding was done by Vivek Samaiya, who went to the same college as Apoorv. Having seen his stellar work, the couple was fully convinced that Vivek was the right person for the job. The fact that they were comfortable working with Vivek is evident from the lovely shots from the pre-wedding shoot that he did for them!
Apoorv and Nikita’s wedding had all the elements of a North Indian wedding – haldi, mehendi, sangeet and the wedding itself. The engagement ceremony took place a day prior to the wedding where Apoorv was seen wearing a white sherwani teamed with golden safa.
Nikita looked ravishing in a pink saree that was adorned with golden lace and threadwork. See that kundan choker on her? What a striking neckpiece it is! We simply could not stop adoring the stunning photographs of the couple against the yellow backdrop of the venue.
Apoorv and Nikita’s sangeet was a night of full on entertainment with loads of Bollywood music and a splash of glamour. The couple looked resplendent – Apoorv chose a black tuxedo while Nikita dazzled in a midnight blue lehenga with golden accents.
Apoorv arrived at the venue in true Bollywood style on a ghodi, with a sword in hand. His Asif Shah sherwani lent him a regal look that was further enhanced by his maroon safa and golden dupatta.
The bride always wanted a Sabyasachi lehenga for her big day and a Sabya lehenga it was for the reception! The maroon velvet lehenga with golden detailing was a perfect match to Apoorv’s sherwani.
Nikita changed into a vibrant orange saree with a traditional red dupatta on her head for the late night pheras. We loved the antique layered necklace that she paired her wedding dress with. Apoorv complemented her outfit with a bright red kurta paired with a matching safa. Elegant and ethnic, the bride and groom floored us with their simple style.

From a great looking pair to stunning outfits to a beautiful ceremony, this wedding had all the makings of a memorable event. We wish the good looking couple loads of joy in their married life!
